So a little context on the verse I used today. The first part of it is about following the Holy Spirit and living a righteous life, letting your faith guide you in your decisions. For those that do this, they will find victory after this life and then that  leads to this verse… you’re given a new name that only you will understand.

So why am I writing on this…because we are all unique in some way and we should know that’s cool. I bet if we could study every human on earth, we would find out that no one fully feels like they belong to a certain group.

We are all so different. Those differences might be very minute differences - so small they are barely recognizable, but they are there. We’re not clones. The term broke the mode is a lot of crap. We all have our own thoughts and mindsets.

We were designed to be different, which is why in this modern society where we have this unhealthy obsession of everything needs to be grouped together or labeled is causing more problems.

Social culture wants to lump us together so we can “understand” who we are as a people. Label, study and manipulate in the name of marketing, science and “good” for society.

But when you do that, it will separate some from the group. They become outsiders, weirdos, “different” only because they are more outside the terms of the label. This leads to hurt, depression, fear, anger and many other damaging effects.

The real truth is that even those beyond that fictional line of the label, they aren’t as different as someone on the “right” side. The people on the accepted side also are different and unique.

We have to be careful about getting too wrapped up in labels. I’m sure I have been labeled, but I guarantee I’m not fitting perfectly into any hole shape. When we work with people, interact with others, we should love that they are different and unique. We should look at it as a chance to learn and grow who we are.

In this verse, in the last book of the Bible ( the book that spells out the end of this world)  those who believe will be given a new name that only the person can understand. It will be unique to us, to who we exactly are.

For those that live by faith, they will get that someday, but even in today’s world we should keep this in mind. We shouldn’t label, we should try to group people. We should look at uniqueness with joy and encouragement. No one should feel bad for being different, it shouldn’t be an issue.

If you’re looking at your life thinking you don't fit in, just focus on the fact that even those who you think fit in, probably feel the same. I know I do, and I’m happy with not being a perfect fit…that would just be boring.
