We Will Be Judged
I believe that the life we live now, however we choose to live it, will be reviewed some day…after it's all said and done. While life can be such an amazing time with so many wonderful experiences, we are also tested with hard times, ridicule, temptations and fear.
The character we choose to build (or not build) will determine many things for us, that’s what I believe. I don’t believe we pass into nothing. I don’t believe everyone's soul just leaves the body and starts floating around freely.
I believe that our soul will be released, but the film of our life will be reviewed just like an athlete reviews game film…I don’t think there will be another game.
Life is pretty short when you think of it and we all don’t start off in the same situation. We all don’t experience the same tragedy or hardship. Each of our lives is unique and how we handle it is up to us. Where we end up is up to us.
We can choose to live a life feeling sorry for ourselves, taking out our disappointment on others and crying why me. We can be spiteful or live for ourselves, putting ourselves first over everyone else. Focusing on always feeling good and ignoring the pain around us.
Or we can rise above it. We can be better, try harder, live to serve others and be there for others. We can choose to follow a higher standard of values and resist the temptations, the pitfalls of this world, so that in the end, when judgment day arrives, it won’t be such a hot situation.
I think it’s obvious I’m trying to be a man of faith, a God-fearing man andI I hope many of you are too. The days are different now, faith is not part of the discussion like it used to be, but it's the center of my life. I know I’m not alone, but I hope there are more people who feel like this.
