Everything Happens For HIS reason

 I really don’t believe in coincidences. One of the phrases I say often is “everything happens for a reason.” I’ve always believed that. It’s not always a comforting quote, especially when it deals with losing people or disasters. Regardless I feel that in every situation there is a lesson to be learned and for whatever reason, be it a test or training, it was supposed to happen the way it did. 

This scripture I used for my visual today is quickly gaining meaning and wonder in my mind. This is the second time since Sunday it’s made itself evident in my life. 

The first time this week was when I was at Meadows Church. A woman approached me saying “excuse me sir. This might sound strange, but I feel like God wanted me to give you this,” handing me a note. Then she said she saw the scripture over me. It was written down on the paper with a note of encouragement. It was this scripture Psalms 40:2. 

I don’t know why yet. I even asked Meadow’s pastor Monte about it and he said it was the same verse that helped him get through some times and lead him to his faith. 

I’m still pondering what it means. My life is busy and I do struggle with some things, but nothing compared to others. Is it preparing me? Is it for something I don’t even realize?  

What I do know is that my faith is stronger than it’s ever been in my life. My trust is in my faith, not in man. I do believe God is working in our lives and feel many more people should lean in on it. While anxiety and stress are in my life, it's usually passing moments. I rarely can’t sleep or wake up worrying. I know that even if things turn and go bad, I will get through it because my strength isn’t in my muscle or mind, it’s in my faith in God. 

I want to end this with an offer. There was a time in my life when I felt something was missing spiritually. I searched and found what I was looking for. It wasn’t material or money.
